Paper & Rags Launched!

The launch of Paper and Rags went about as well as I could have hoped!
Though it looked a bit iffy whether the Gazette front pages would arrive on time (printed by Everlovin’ Press on rag paper I’d made using rag contributions from friends and family), they were brought in halfway through my reading by one of the characters from the book, the printer Stephen Miles. He was followed by a number of other characters and they proceeded to make a big scene. I was left little time to read, but I wouldn’t have had it any other way. A huge thanks to the intrepid Brett Christopher, Dave Hudson, Jeremy Settle, and Adam Davidson-Harden!

Copies of Paper and Rags can now be purchased at Novel Idea in downtown Kingston or directly from me (special discount!). Unfortunately the commemorative Kingston Gazette front pages have run out. But here is a picture of the finished product.

A copy of the finished commemorative issue of the first Kingston Gazette, Sept. 25th, 1810, with contributors names blended in.
