Chapter Thirty Three

1. In the cell, Mark undergoes Squassation or Palestinian Hanging, being raised by chains fastened to the wrists suspended from the ceiling - something Manadel al-Jamadi was alleged to have endured at Abu Ghraib.  al-Jamadi was thought to have died of asphyxiation from compression, from something heavy on his chest (along with the 5 broken ribs), like a man kneeling.
